What is a Fear Free Certified Professional?
A Fear Free Certified Practitioner (or FFCP) is an individual who has undergone specialized training in Fear Free, which teaches us to identify, alleviate, and support patients who are fearful, anxious, or stressed (FAS), which can occur after visits to the vet where their behavioral needs aren’t prioritized. FFCPs are able to read their patient’s body language and understand when there are heightened FAS and are able to respond to these cues to provide a calming, nurturing, and positive experience – one where our patients look forward to their trip to the vet!
